Indigenous languages and cultures hold keys to sustaining life on earth. Let’s protect and learn from them.

The IINÁH (pronounced ee-nah) is a physical and virtual space where we teach Indigenous lifeways to native youth, native communities, and non-native communities who are willing to sincerely learn and apply the knowledge appropriately. Rooted in Diné lands and leaders, we also partner with and serve native nations worldwide.

In Service to Indigenous Language and Knowledge

We contribute to the work of our ancestors and our communities through community-based learning events, service learning, endangered animal husbandry, community support, and online learning spaces. Within a constellation of community efforts, we do our small part to protect these vital systems.

Who We Are

We are based in Diné Bikeyah (Navajo Homeland), but stand to support Indigenous communities across the country and the globe. We have an experienced advisory board of Indigenous community service agents. While we do have some leaders, we view the community as the true leader and seek to paint the visions of the people.

Wishlist

We have been able to accomplish many beautiful things over the years, but we have big shoes to fill and big dreams to realize. We are building the foundation for even stronger spaces of support for the things that give life to our communities and beyond.

“We can and will find and begin a process of healing because we re-remember and re-understand how we should live as individuals and families in our Hoghan (home).”

— Marie Gladue, Diné Churro Sheep Protector
